Hi, i’m Brandi ☺

I’m the owner of MoonFlower Thrifts!! This is my small business based on the Central Coast of California.

My goal is to offer thoughtfully curated secondhand goods that feel joyful, unique, and full of personality! Pieces that help you express your style, bring character into your home, all while giving beautiful old things a second life.

I’ve loved thrifting since I was a kid. My mom used to take me to yard sales all the time, and I even would shop for school on eBay. I’ve always been drawn to unique pieces that no one else has. It felt like treasure hunting and became such a fun way for me to express myself, creatively!

In college, I started reselling thrifted clothing more seriously so I could afford concert tickets and road trips. Then in 2020, during quarantine, I started MoonFlower Thrifts as an extra source of income when my wedding photography career was put on pause. What began with reselling clothes quickly turned into something much bigger when I discovered a new passion: refinishing furniture!

I had always been interested in interior design, but once I started refinishing furniture, I was hooked. It quickly became my biggest creative passion, and over time…selling refinished furniture grew into my full-time dream job!

Today, MoonFlower Thrifts is a mostly one-woman-run business. I do all of the sourcing, curating, cleaning, styling, photographing, listing, and majority of the furniture refinishing myself (with some help from my refinishing assistant). I also get lots of support from my husband, Ryan, who helps with the heavy lifting and deliveries.

Every single purchase means the world to me! All I’ve ever wanted is a calm, cozy life by the ocean where I can be creative for a living, work from home, and build a successful, fulfilling business that allows me to one day be fully present for the family I dream of building…both human and fur babies included. Your support helps make that dream feel possible.

Thanks so much for being here! ☺

not your typical vintage shop ☺

Rather than operating out of a traditional storefront ~ I run MoonFlower Thrifts through a more personal, online-based setup! All items I have listed online are stored in my storage unit until they find a home. Customers connect with me online to purchase, then arrange pickup, delivery, or shipping directly through me. This setup keeps things flexible, allows me to reach customers worldwide, and lets me offer a more personal shopping experience. It also gives me more time to focus on what I love most: finding, curating, and restoring unique vintage goods!

Home Office & Backyard Workshop ✿

My house is basically MoonFlower Thrifts headquarters! I refinish furniture in my backyard, photograph pieces in my living room, and handle the sourcing, cleaning, styling, listing, and behind-the-scenes business tasks all from home. It’s a humble, hands-on setup, and a big part of what makes this business so personal!

shop IRL at my antique booth!

Thrifting and reselling clothing online is where MoonFlower Thrifts began! Even though furniture has become my main focus, I still have a big love for vintage clothing, accessories, jewelry, and home goods. You can shop the majority of those items in person at my booth inside Pismo Pickers Antiques & Collectibles. I restock it weekly with colorful women’s clothing from many eras (1960s–2000s), quirky decor, funky accessories, and more! It’s the perfect spot for festival wear, statement pieces, and unique vintage touches for your wardrobe or home.

I regularly share new booth additions on my Instagram stories, so you can still keep up with what’s new even if you’re not able to shop in person! You can also find more curated, high-end vintage pieces listed online on my Poshmark, Depop, and eBay profiles.
