Mid Century Vintage Solid Walnut “Tuxedo” Desk by Lane Furniture

$1,000.00

This is a rare, genuine vintage 1960s desk made by Lane Furniture for their Tuxedo line! It has been newly refinished and is in 9.5/10 condition.

Crafted with walnut, this desk features Lane’s iconic clean lines and elegant proportions. The top is accented with a rosewood inlay in bowtie patterns + connecting lines. Really such a cool piece with an intricate design. Designed by Ernest Swarts & OB Solie for Lane. Original metal drawer pulls have been painted gold brass. All three drawers have been sanded and are very clean, looking good as new! All drawers open and close perfectly. The top left drawer has 3 removable dividers, perfect for storing 4 sections of files / paperwork. Even the back of the piece is beautiful! So, it would be great as a room-dividing piece rather than only against a wall.

Although it has been refinished and is in nearly perfect condition - there are a few minor flaws! The top has a few very light remnants of previous scratches & tiny chips that have been repaired. There are a couple of tiny signs of wear around the edges of the drawers. The most noticable flaw is a scratch on the top left drawer. See photos for flaws!

This is a very rare piece, you can’t even find any available online! Easily worth $2200+

No wobbles, no cracks, no water damage. So much life left to live! Besides being used as a desk, it could also be used as a vanity, entry table, tv stand, or whatever you want!
